you could try and get a piece of carpet to match or you could put a piece of wood to put down the middle as a type of step the only other option is to renew your whole carpet.

Add a piece between the two. its doubtful that you could find a good match between the two so perhaps add some kind of accent strip.
The carpet guys will take a new piece and bond it to the other two pieces creating one large piece.

If you have that same carpet in a closet nearby I would measure first and make sure that their is enough carpet in that closet to cover the new empty space. Then find yourself a local installer who is willing to do small jobs. Have him take the piece from the closet to patch it for you. Whats critical in the patch is that he does a good seam because even though the patch will look brighter than the carpet around it it will after some traffic blend in more, but a bad seam will not blend in ever. Also I would take a small piece from that closet and go to a local carpet warehouse that will have some carpet or remannts in stock and get a piece that is as close as possible to what you have in that room now and use that for the closet and the installer can install that in the closet after he patches the gap in the room. Matching the carpet in the closet wont be critical since a door will be in the way. Ask the installer to bring some small scraps of pad so you dont have to buy a whole roll so he can use underneath the new patch. Im thinking $75 to $100 for the installer should be a fair price as long as his drive isnt over 10 miles or so.

if you try to patch it will always show. If it is good carpet why not use it elsewhere in the house and recarpet in one piece where you have taken out the wall.

I’ve lost literally hundreds of Twitter followers several times in just one day when Twitter decided to delete several accunts suspected of spamming. If you are referring to the bathroom sink plug that is opened & closed by the metal thing on the back of the faucet then you can do it yourself. If you look under the sink, there should be a long metal thing with holes down it ,it should be connected to a skinny metal lever that moves up & down when you wiggle it.watch the plug for movement up or down when youmove the lever up and down.there should be a catch or opening in the bottom of the plug,keep turning it till it catches and you can make it open and close with the lever. once you do that, put the lever in a hole in the long metal strip that still allows it to open and close,to secure it use a bandaid or tape on the end of the lever to keep it from slipping off so easily. it`s usually pretty simple and you can bend the long metal strip to fit. the 1st time can be a little time consuming but once you see how it works it`s a lot easier. hope this helps
